I have a Foxwell 510 scanner you could borrow. Just north of UW in Seattle

Thanks Peertwelve, I went ahead and bought one myself. Code reader reports it's the TBA for Bank 1. Fortunately, it's repair I've done before--I put the aftermarket gears in both of the car's TBAs three years and 40K miles ago. And . . . I have a pair of used TBAs from a spare engine that I'll try instead of shelling out for new parts.

FCP has a lifetime warranty on all their parts. Maybe a great route if you plan to keep the car longer.

Well . . . I finally pulled out the TBA and found that the aftermarket gears I put in three years ago failed. I'll post about it.
