Dinan performance spring issue
I emailed Dinan about this issue and they of course pointed me to the supplemental kit which is $755. My question is there a cheaper alternative to fix this? Previous owner installed these performance springs along with Dinan camber plates and lower monoball kit. I read about shaving the support guides but I don't have the proper tools to do that. I thought about removing the struts to reseat them but I'm afraid they just pop loose again. Also thought about swapping for different springs. Both front sides are like this.

The Dinan supplemental kit won't fix your issue, not sure why they would even suggest that.
I've installed Dinan springs before on a couple of cars, with the amount of tension these springs are under even when the suspension is at full extension there is no way they will pop out if seated corrected. Either the previous owner installed these upside down, which kinda looks like it or they installed the wrong Dinan springs for your car. |
