Need help with diagnosis code!
An increased emissions light comes on every time I start my car. Car seems to run fine with it on but I took it in to have it looked at. They are telling me that I need to replace the fuel pump control unit becuase of the diagnosis codes that were returning and it "might" fix the problem. Does this make sense? Has anyone had/heard of this problem? Also, my car was low on oil. Would this have anything to do with it?
Please give me help! Thanks |

It's possible your fuel pump is putting in too much gas, but I've never heard of a fuel pump causing problems like this

Here they are
Car came back with these codes:
27CE, 27BB, 2786, 27C1 Fault 27CE for fuel pressure to control unit mapping out of normal range. Fuel pressure at idle is slightly higher 3.1 bar than spec. of 2.9 bar. May have increased emissions. NO fault currently for lean fuel mixture. Any suggestions for these codes? |
