Ok so this is whats up. You have a final equation. You'll probably have 2-3 other equations you must manipulate in order to make it match up your final equation. You know what reactants and products are, right? You know the little 'yield' arrow that shows reactants going to products? Well according to Hess's law we are able to 'flip' the equations so that we can make the products into reactants and reactants into products.

BUT, when you flip the equation you must also flip the sign on the value.. (Should be in kJ, correct?) Also, you may have to multiple the entire equation by a factor of 2,3,4, etc in order to match up your number of moles of reactants and products.

If you keep manipulating the equation by multiplying and flipping signs, it should eventually lead you to the final equation.

Make more sense?
sadly enough i understood all of this even after being out of chem for 6 years

hahahehe Thanks man. Speaking of Ferrari, I'm going to the unveiling of the 458 Italia this evening, which is held at Boardwalk Ferrari in Plano.

I'll take plenty of pics and will post up the thread on this forum, and on DFW Auto Club.

I'm very excited! (Plus, somehow I managed to convince my wife to come along with my daughter!! Yipeeeeeeeeeee! )

I didn't get an invitation, but I actually heard about the event from here: http://www.dfwautoclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4522

My mom was actually the one who recieved an invite to test-drive the new California, but I went instead . While I was there, I asked my representative if I could attend the Italia ceremony as well, and he said yes.

Lucky me!

Just thought I'd give yall an update on my life-

Drove down to sherman,tx today because my dad had a myocardial infarction. I'm sure some of you guys know my dad is an interventional cardiologist, quite ironic for him to have a heart attack. Anyways, one of his fellow cardiologist friends that he went to school with in India did a cath on him and cleared all his blockage with a stent, thankfully. All of the cardiologists at this hospital were commending him because apparently this was one of the most difficult caths they have ever seen before. If he had not succeeded my dad would have to have a bypass surgery.

Thankfully my dad will be ok

Darn.
if you're not in any position to buy one and to enjoy its driving pleasure, what do you get out of drooling at it helplessly on a showroom floor?

1.) You're right, I am not in position to get into a Ferrari at this stage of my life, and I proudly admit to this fact. I am 24 years old, and I consider myself very fortunate to even be in a M3.

2.) I helplessly drool in the Ferrari show room because I have intense dreams of owning one. I became so convinced of my dream, that I even approached the manager of Boardwalk Ferrari, and specifically told him that I will be back in 5 years and I will buy a vehicle from him. If I don't accomplish my goal, I simply don't. And I don't lose anything from dreaming, since I'm a strong believer in that dreams really do help you get much further in life.

3.) The post where I said that I would trade my soul for a Scud was a humorous post which was meant to add to the other posts which were before mine. The other users' posts mentioned of how they could get into one as well, and they were sarcastic about it too.

So to answer your question, I do gain a heck of a lot of inspiration from spending some time in a Ferrari show room admiring the fine cars. I will not give up hope, and I will keep working diligently in order to get into such a vehicle.

Please wish me luck.

Thank you, sir.

wow! lucky guy. heart disease is hereditary in my family, and couple with my love for red meat and beer, the customary bypass is unfortunately more than likely in my future.
