No good traction circle iPhone app?
Was trying to find an app I can use when driving to visualize traction circle, help improving smoothness in adding throttle while unwinding steering wheel, or in trail-braking etc, but not really seeing a lot of good one. For one I couldn't find one that actually display it as a dot inside a circle, most of them would show 2 axes showing lateral and longitudinal separately. And also most if them shows very jittery reading, if the phone is mounted by a mount, which I imagine can be improved easily by applying some smoothing to the readout...
Is there a good app around? Or I should just write one myself? |

The mlaptimer has a G-force display. It lags maybe a second though but it literally has a red dot in a circle to display power, braking and cornering. If you have a GoPro in the car it will log it all as well as graph out braking and throttle with speed display as well as display your track route and give you lap times. It's not the best but it's free in the App Store.

Yes. My car is a 2011. Download the app in the App Store and install it on your phone. Start the app and plug your phone into the usb or put it in a snap in adapter and go to connected drive in idrive and you will see the mlaptimer app icon there. Select it and play around with it.
