991 S is where it's at. But this is a good supplemental car to the garage.

Either a 997.2 gt3 or Caymen R

Funny. Guys over at the P-car forums are wondering if this car is going to be something to watch out for...

We both know almost none of the cars that will be sold are going to be base cars.

Thats unbelievable...about 55 % cheaper, more than the half of the price cheaper, now i'm sure ...the day that i get my pension(when i make it),i fly to America and thats for sure,i have enough of this f@cking country, what do they think...that everything is made of gold ?!?!
BTW...thank you man for the info and ....God bless America...for sure
The incentives from BMW make the divide even greater. When I did Euro Delivery on my E92, BMW reduces the invoice price by 7% which for me meant about a $5500 savings over normal US-delivered invoice price. So when I arrived at the Welt, I assumed it would be mostly Americans or other foreigners receiving cars there. I was wrong. The vast majority of new owners were German citizens. I asked BMW about it and they told me that the Germans have to pay a 500 Euro "destination charge" to have the car sent to their dealer, but they can pay 600 Euro instead to pick up at the Welt. So to review:

US Base MSRP for US delivery: $60k

German base MSRP: 67k Euro (about $87k USD)

Already $27k higher (mostly due to VAT I believe)

Then if the American chooses to go to Munich: -$5500

If the German does: +600 Euro

Seems absolutely ridiculous to me, especially when you consider that German citizens lose approximately 50% of their incomes to taxes, where in the US the max Federal rate is 40% and it doesn't kick in until you earn around $250k a year or more. Where the 50% max rate in Germany kicks in around 50-60k euro a year.

I would love to live in Germany but DAMN is it difficult without a US income of some kind.

Yes, we all know that with the crazy options on the F30/2s, we wi see a max price pushing $80k.

But there will be those who purchase stripper M3s.

you are able to get allocation for the gt3? also to get orange you will need to PTS which I think will really be hard with limited supply. I hope you get it, I want a ride in it.
