A New Scammer

I have a couple of WTB’s posted up right now. I woke up today to four different messages all copied word for word other than the item I’m looking for. They go like this:

I think i saw a guy called Micheal posted a Test Pipes and Muffler for sale. Here is his email. michealbenson656@yahoo.com He's in Missouri

I checked and the guy has no posts at all, and sends me 4 messages just replacing the part of the sentence with the titles of my WTB. I would be cautious, and also probably ban the profile before he gets someone.

I replied and said thanks but I'm obviously not gonna email and get caught up in some scheme lol.

This guy is making the rounds and changing his name/email a bit. He is infamously known across many forums.

I reported a version of this guy and others did as well a month ago or so.

My guess is talk you in to paying via Venmo / CashApp / something non-reversable, then block you. That would be the least effort.

Also possible is some kind of advance fee scam; pay his preferred shipping company or escrow service that are fake and really him.
