Env's E90 v2 Build Thread
Some may remember my last E90, some wont but here's a link to that thread https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1407039
Since selling the above car, Ive been chasing a similar driving experience since. Ive done 911S, RS7, M6 GC, 69 Camaro and list of a few others. Simply put, you can not get this driving experience at this price point, period. The 911S was great but honestly, felt too easy and too dulled down. I started looking into 997 GT3s but quickly lost interest. Fast forward to a month ago, I sold my 69 Camaro SS that had a built 427 big block, what a blast and the hunt was on for an E90 M3. As you all know with today's market, finding E90s are tough, let alone clean, rare colored ones. I came across this one owner, 2011 Lemans blue, non ZCP E90 from Apex in Wi. I called on it, gathered information and received the invoice of 7k they just spent on the car, everything from RBs, to lowering springs, to HRE/FallLine R43s to FRM to a bunch of iND bits. I made an offer and moved forward with the purchase. Apex was great to deal with, cant say enough how responsive, informative and in tune they were throughout the process. Refreshing to know there's good people out there still! Anyway, received the car and my neighbor put a solid 25-30 hours of correction and we ceramic coated it Saturday afternoon/evening. Here are the results... It came out great and cant thank my neighbor enough for putting in all that effort to get it looking up to my standards. Few other goodies I forgot, M performance steering wheel, 2.5 pipe mod and I installed an MS intake already. Plans upcoming soon: Apex EC-7 18x9.5/10 race silver AA Test Pipes Alpine Tune/Coding AutoTecknic Comp Paddles Haimus Carbon Plenum GTS Lip- unsure of brand/v1/v1 Overall, pretty happy to be back in an E90, especially in Lemans. I love Interlagos but Lemans is slightly more rare and just as special. Ill be updating this as things move forward, wheels have shipped, test pipes, tune and paddles are getting done this week. R43s are for sale as well! Cheers

The 997 GT3 itself didn't turn me off, it was the price to pay to be as happy as I am now. I'd never track the GT3, don't have the time unfortunately with a 2.5 yr old, one on the way and 60+ hours of week per week. But those cars are special, really special. But to pay that premium so I can be as happy as I am or slightly more with the E90? Nah, not right now. In the future, yes, but financially can't justify it

In my opinion, the 997 chassis is more engaging. Manual steering is what does it for me and the overall size.

Got the EC-7 installed
Ended up having a hard time finding 18x10 squared 18x9.5 with 275/35 front 18x10 with 285/35 rear, 12mm spacer Lowered on swift springs Pics in sun are before 12mm spacer, rain pics after. We also did AA test pipes, Alpine Stage 2 tune w/GTS DCT tune and finished off with Autotechnik paddles. She's starting to come together. Haimus box hopefully coming in the 4-6 window they mentioned. Unsure I'm going to do any carbon outside. I'm kinda digging the clean E90 look, lowered on wheels. I'd love a set of E88s but have some adulting to do purchase wise for my business and house for the family since we are most likely headed back to Charlotte. Will try and get it cleaned up this weekend and take more pictures of the wheels. Love the look with stud kit too. Gives that Motorsport look.
