13.294@107.15

Took my stock 2010 E92 M3 6-MT to the drag strip yesterday and this is the best I could muster:

60'... 2.156
330... 5.758
1/8... 8.703 @ 83.53 MPH
1000... 11.196
1/4... 13.294 107.15 MPH

I had almost new Michelin PSS on. There was a ton of wheel hop in first gear no matter where I launch. It's like I can't floor it in first gear or there's massive wheel hop.

Any tips on how to do better? I want to be in the 12's.

Several things you can do, because drag racing is very basic.
-weight reduction: 1/4 tank of gas, everything out of the car, etc
-run when it's cold out. Every ten degrees= .1 second less. So if this run was on a 70F day, go on a 50F day for a free 13.094 @ 109.15MPH
-adjust your tire pressures, and note the effect on the 60'. Try to lower the 60'. Every .1 seconds less= .15 sec less on your ET. So a 2.0 sec 60F on a 40-50F day will give you your stock 12 second 1/4 mile run.

After that, please stop drag racing, and take your nice car to a road course where it belongs.

In order to adjust for conditions i.e. temperature you need to calculate a density altitude.

There are websites that will provide the info you need based on the track you ran at and when.

If the DA was say +2000 ft then your time isn't too bad.

The rules of thumb posted above for temp/60ft are gross approximations at best.

I did 12.8@110mph when I was stock, with 1.9xx 60ft, only tip I can give you is go on a sunny day to have some traction! Best trap stock was 111mph on a 12.9 run!

Hmm... I just went to the track and did 12.8 @ 115 MPH. I have a 6MT supercharged. I did this on my first run and it just got worse from there. I had DSC on with MDM on for the run. My next few runs I tested with DSC off and I would just spin all over the place. The weather was warm and there was a big thunderstorm that happened after a few runs. Any suggestions on how to do a better run? Is it better with DSC off and feathering the throttle?
