Road America May 11!!!

Hey all, heading to Road America on May 11th with Laps Inc. Great group to run with. Last year was a Porsche cup car running in the teens there with us mortals and a few other insane cars. Think there's still a few spots and hope to see some fellow members on track

Great track in a super location. Was there last year and still have my 2012 Road America tech sticker on my windshield (actually says Road America on it).

Have fun and be safe.

I will there. I'll look for you at the track (or you can find me, I'm sure I'll be the only one there with a caged black R32).

Pretty crappy day, but managed a decent session. Love this track, but haven't seen it dry for a bit. Took me the whole session, but finally caught that GT3. This is a mixing of the advanced and intermediate groups as there was an open wheel group, which was sick, as well. Wasn't sure of the grip levels, but as you can see, became more comfortable as the session went on.

Was a pretty dicey day, but got lucky for that one session. Next up is July 13-14

Sorry Klammer we never got a chance to really meet. I think I ended up waving to you when I was leaving for the day. Yes, weather was quite crappy, particularly the sleet. Not sure if I'd do RA again in May.

Not sure if you saw, I ended up sidelined for most of the day, with a loose oil hose fitting in my engine, after dropping practically all of my oil in the paddock. Luckily it was in the paddock, and I was going really slowly when I discovered the issue, and got it turned off right away. Also very lucky it was not on the track. I was able to borrow some tools and get it retightened, and after putting almost 5.5 qts of oil in, seemed to be okay. I was talking to Carson up in the tower (head RA safety guy), and his favorite saying seemed to be "Murphy is a racing fan". I will be so happy to have a weekend where something doesn't go wrong.

I will likely try to make the July Laps weekend event, unless work interferes. I did think they were a great group to run with, and would highly recommend them to anyone considering their event.

Yeah, that was me. I had walked over to your car when it was on ramps and heard what had happened, that's a bummer Love RA and Shawn who runs LAPS is a great guy. Hopefully see you there in July or sooner

Klammer, may I ? This was earlier this month with MFBA. Loads of fun, However I later on dialed in my tire pressures (never really played with them before), and cornered way better. However, by then I had run out of race gas, and had to use my pump gas maps! I'll be back to this track soon enough though.

Thanks dude, think if it was actually dry and nice would have achieved a sub 2:40. Only track I've ever been to where I feel the car is underpowered
