Dash camera to use for two day BMW M school?
Did the two day basic M school last year and had an absolute blast. Doing the two day advanced M school soon and am looking for a basic dashcam.. nothing fancy. I use a Viofo A119S in my E93 M3 which works great, but its hard-wired.. Knowing how often we switch cars in the M school, I'd prefer something with a battery, perhaps with a suction mount to quickly attach/detach. Would prefer something on the cheaper side as I don't do track events often, maybe a used gopro? Any suggestions?
Thanks! |

Yea go pro on a suction mount is your best bet for easy to move stable vids. Or helmet mount over your right ear. Pair it with race chrono pro on your phone or something like that to get basic lap data over lay (those two for sure will work together).

Check with the school and ask if you can even do that -- they might not want the distraction of cameras. When I went to Bondurant, they were okay with it but the instructor said something to the effect of, "if we have to wait for you because of that camera, you'll get it back at the end of the day."
