Educate me on this tire wear
So these are older pilot super sports. I am new to track days so I am trying to learn as much as I can.
Feedback on the tire wear is appreciated! |

Pretty standard wear for a tire like that. Some rice-graining and "material movement" is normal.
The tiny chunking is somewhat symptomatic of overheating or overdriving, but not a ton you can do except maybe be more aware of your slip angles and monitor pressures carefully.

How many track days or minutes are on those? What track was it and which direction did you run them? Did you rotate/flip at any point?

5 track days on those tires. 20 mins , three sessions , clockwise, Gingerman in South Haven. It's a staggered setup so I only did side to side.
I have a square set of wheels now which will be my dedicated track set up. I don't think it is worth anymore time to keep on using this existing staggered setup |

For 5 track days I would say those look really good.
