Best tune out there?

There are so many tunes out there.. Dinan, EAS, BPM, Turners, etc etc..

What's the best tune for the price? Stage 1 and 2?

I'm sure everyone will speak for which tune they have so you'll get a lot of biased answers. Can't go wrong with any of them really. Mike Benvo at BPM made the process SUPER easy for the last batch of us in the group buy.

I believe it was $900 for a Stage 2 from Mike right? What was the process? What gains did you see?

with no primary cats you will experience roughly +30whp through out the power band. however you will also experience better drivability, smoother feel, no bucking, (if DCT) and have the option of removing the cold start, raising the RPM to 8600, ability to turn off certain cell lights, and remove the speed limitation. All do about the same but IMO-BPM is pretty damn good. however, All the others are great too!!

^ -- what he said. Yes, on the group buy price. Plugged in my laptop and gave him remote access, few minutes later I was all set.

There are so many good ones out there. I would suggest you do a little research on the forum and read through some of the members post and then you should be able to find out the best one that works for you.

Along with USSsoldier, i also participated in the BPM group buy. Mike will breakdown the process and explain what the tune will do for your car. The car is a whole new beast and if you are catless you will see bigger gains. I am usually skeptical of tunes but for our cars its worth it. Good luck with whatever you choose

I have the evolve, totally happy. The cars are all the same so the gains are going to be the same with like equipment. If I had to do it over again BPM, evolve and the hex flash are all great. I do like the valet tune that Mike just conjured up.

I have the same question. My E92 is completely stock so I'm wondering if I need to do something to really benefit from any sort of tune. I keep reading about the BPM from you guys so I'm almost leaning towards it but there is a local tuner in my area (http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=783517) but no one seems to have much feedback...

The only qualified non-biased answer would be someone that has tested every tune both on the dyno and in a real-world scenario. In the meantime, most people will chime in with the one they've purchased as being "the best".

Here's a recent thread with a bunch of dynos we've posted, all from various tuners:

400 RWHP Club?
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=788241

There's even one with no tune inching towards the 400 club.

In a nutshell, there is no "best tune" as every scenario (engine condition, location, octane, build configuration, etc) and one's needs are usually different.

I'm asking as in bang for your buck tune. I'm sure all these tunes are close from eachother but which would be the best value? That's my question.

From what I've seen, most people's recommendation will be BPM.

If you believe all tunes are the same, simply look for the best marketed and cheapest option.

Using the words "best" or "vs" is a perfect storm on internet forums. You'll never get a straight answer, only everyone's opinion.

Thats like asking who makes the best pizza..you ask 10 different people you will get 10 different answers. Do your own due diligence and make a decision. I for one am a big fan of BPM.

Tons written already just do a good search and enjoy the reading..there is a lot of it.
