Tire paint... yes or no
I’ve never been the one to buy a paint marker and paint the branding of my tires white before. But every so often I’ll see someone that has done it and to me it looks pretty good. What’s your take on ink pens and painting white or any other color for that matter the labeling of your tires?

you're going to get mixed reactions about this. its not for me on a street car. good news is, its not permanent if you want to try it on a set of tires. maybe wait until you have about 6 months left on a set of tires and try it out before committing on a new set.

Ha right on, I just purchased 4 new tires this week. So that might be quite a bit before I’m ready to buy again. I’ve just seen a few cars that have done it and maybe it’s the NASCAR in me but I seem to like it 😜

My car spends a lot of time on track, so the only paint markers I’m using are to label which tire was on which corner of the car LOL
But hey, like roastbeef said, try it on a set of tires that are almost out of life before committing to it on a new set and seeing how you like the look

Get tire stickers instead of using those pens. I'm with you. Sometimes I see them and think they look so cool when executed well.

This went better than I thought. OP go for it! Out of all the crazy things proposed to be done to this car, this is minor and can be done well hahahaha

Looks so cheap. Every time I see these wheels stickers in person the are either peeling or missing letters. Not a good look.

No... stop.
It's your car though. If you like it, do it - it's for your happiness, right? But if you ask for my opinion it's a big no. |

It’s all opinion I guess. My preference is for a clean sidewall, but you do you. Something to consider is that you will highlight brake dust, sidewall scrapes, etc.
Whatever you do, make sure to post a pic! |

They always start with paint marker on tires and before you know it they try a cold air intake, then the burble tunes.
Stay safe kids. This is a gateway drug. Jokes aside I'm indifferent to it. Wouldn't personally do it as I can see how it can come off cheap or cry for attention. If tires came with it as an option that would have my interest. |
