Looking for weekend Ferarri + Hotel

Hello,

for my 40th my wife found a place in Cali where its $600 per night for room + 100 miles on a 360 for a day.

Can anybody suggest places like this around the country? I'm looking to go in late summer so have time to hunt something down.

TIA>

What about Vegas... the rooms are relatively cheap and you can just rent a ferrari from an exotic car place. Don't know how much they cost though.

can you share the hotel for the ferrari deal?

I know that there is a place in Los Gatos, California that you pay $700 for a room and the use of Aston Martin AMV8 or rapaide (not sure about mileage). Check out hotel los gatos.

A ferrari, to drive around on the streets? Where is the fun in that? In Vegas you can drive a Nascar around the track at 180+mph. I know it's a nascar, but when else will you ever drive 180+mph?

Renting the ferrari is a total waste if you will only drive it on public roads.

I saw this the other day: http://www.exoticsracing.com/

Also, AFAIK, there are some exotic car rental places in LA and Las Vegas. Ferrari's are usually around 1000$ a day depending on model.

Los Gatos is a perfect base location for some of the most fun roads in the world.

I agree. Having a 430 and M3 at my disposal (both 6MTs ), the M3 is more comfortable, has more foot space, shifts nicer, has more creature comforts... you get the picture. The 430 definitely gets a ton more attention, but from the pure driving experience, it's a waste to just put around in the city. It's like a sport bike vs sport touring; a sport bike in the city is a waste.

And I'd rent a 430, not a 360, as the latter is at M3 levels of power. But driving dynamics are similar. Good luck.
