Anyone with experience with the Chamberlain ProDrive systems?
I have a PD612DM and I can't get the sync to work. I can't find any code repeater box but I'm looking on the website http://www.chamberlain.com/ccv2/page...x?modelId=7720 Says "Security+® anti-burglary technology assures a new code is sent every time the remote control is used" - so I assume it has the variable code system. If anyone has set one of these up and can direct me that would be helpful, thanks! |

Holding the handheld transmitter against the mirror housing is the tip that did it for me!
Just installed a Chamberlain garage door opener (Model LW3000EV purchased from Lowes). My 2013 E92 M3 would not accept the code from the handheld for the new garage door opener. Read about Chamberlain MyQ Security+ 2.0 and lack of backward compatibility with my BMW and so purchased the HomeLink Compatibility Repeater (from Amazon). Despite not having had any problems previously programming the vehicle to operate several other garage door openers (e.g., Liftmaster and Chamberlain), could not get vehicle to accept code from the HomeLink repeater handheld unit (regardless of where I positioned the handheld transmitter). After reading this thread, held the transmitter against the mirror housing and it worked the first time. Was able to complete programming in 10 minutes after that. Thanks for the tip - I was getting ready to send the repeater back and abandon use of the integrated HomeLink capability in the car. It's much nicer to have one less item kicking around in the car . |

If you have the smart learn button you have to press that, then pair with the home link then pair again with a remote. Took me a few times

So when I pair here is what is do.
1 clear all settings 2 have mirror learn by holding remote and desired button 3 push learn on garage door 4 press and hold the mirror button for 1 second release press again for one second and in the last time it works. This technique worked on 5-6 (02, 04, 07, 08, 11, 11, 12, 13, 17, 17)different BMW's as well as my F150 and the wife's new Range Rover Sport (supercharged V8). I have had 3-4 different garage door openers and the last one is only 6 months old. So this technique seems to always work.

Hey guys so I’ve tried endlessly to connect my lift master remote to my home link and cannot get the mirror to pick up the remote signal. I’ve followed everything in the manual, the forums, this thread, touching it to the actual housing, moving it around, everything and nothing. I’m at a loss. Please help!

We just got our LiftMaster with WiFi installed last week. Had no problem linking the 2012 535 and the 2017 340, but the 2012 X5d and the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee would not work. We've tried a bunch of different things, worked on it for nearly an hour with no results.
I'm about to go and try some of the suggestions from here and hope that one of them will work finally! *Update* I have tried it every which way and still no luck. My E70 will NOT link to either the remote nor to the door

Sorry to revive an old thread. I finally have my 2010 M3 programmed to my new garage door opener. I have the Liftmaster/Chamberlain Opener with the Security +2.0. I tried everything to get the car to recognize the handheld garage door remote control. I held the remote next to, against, upside down, right side up to the mirror housing…nothing. It would not sync up. I programmed the wife’s 2015 Lexus with no problem. It took 5 minutes to do her car.
I ordered the Liftmaster 855lm Homelink compatibility bridge as mentioned above. I followed the standard directions to clear the settings in the mirror. Then pressed the mirror button and handheld Homelink remote control simultaneously that comes with the Homelink bridge for approx. 10-15 secs. Like magic the amber light on the mirror housing began flashing rapidly. Yea, it synced up. I then plugged in the Homelink repeater module into an outlet that I have nearby the Liftmaster garage door opener. Pushed the learn button on the garage door opener, walked over to the car and pressed the mirror button for a good second or so and the lights on the garage door opener flashed. I pressed the mirror button again, the garage door closed. Done!! |
