Exclamation IS-F exhaust tips...fully functional after all?

Autospies:

"While previous reports have surfaced showing pre-production placeholders for the upper tips, our test vehicle was full-functional for all four."

Sorry but the lower tip looks like a prop (plastic surround).

And even if functional = still ugly.

That was the pre-production model. It had stickers on it saying so.

I'm glad you posted the 5 Axis IS-F. I think as a CONCEPT it's perfect. I think they just need to make the bumpers more solid looking and maybe make the car a little less wide. That would be amazing. Also, I think the hood vents are in a great position and would look better if they were smaller. I still dont really like the overall bulge of the hood though.

They are still attached to the bumper which is a very big NONO. No one liked it on the Celica, I doubt anyone would like it in a $50k car.

Yeah I don't think they can do anything about the power bulge, as the V8 stick up so much from the designed-for-V6 engine compartment.

Maybe rather than a smooth bulge/mound on the hood, they can make it an more aggressive... show off that "power dome" somehow.

props to Lexus if they really revised the quad exhaust to be truly functional...but the design is still UGLY AS SIN. i would never drive a car with exhaust tips that looked like that. hell, this is worse than the "overlapping bubble" tips that came as an option on 996 Carreras.

Exactly, they just sit behind the actual exhaust exits that are forward of the rear bumper, it makes no sense.

The car is quite discrete in person. It's not as dramatic and hideous in person.

I've heard a lot of people saying this. Personally I'd replace the quads with the same design but only ONE exhaust on each side. I'm not a fan of the hood bulge, the rest is good though!
