March Waiting Room - Weeks 9/10/11

Have a week 10 production, moved from an original week 7 to insure getting 6NR option and also to get closer to a snowless east coast delivery. Sitting at a 112 status currently.

Week 9's should be going 150 this week and week 10 should be as early as next Monday.

We will have the honor of being the first 2011.75 cars delivered

No one knows yet. I say 50/50 for week 9.

All signs point to 6NR beginning production for our cars week 9 (week of 2/28).

Your CA will have to tell you you're build week, once they have an allocation or can change one in the system. Once you have that, you can use the 800# and web to get updates.

My estimated build date is 2/28. Week 9 right? Is it foolish to think that I'll have my car before april?

That would depend on your location, which gleamed from your poster info on the left, may make delivery very difficult. If you are however on the west coast, that may be a close call before end of March, if east coast, more probable.

Cracker, this is technically week 8, what week did your CA tell you your production week was? I wonder since you have several individual options you may be floating more.

Called the 1800 number and it mentioned production started and estimated completion date on production is 3/11 , that is a very long build (2/22-3/11). Even our 750li individual's production was shorter, it started on 11/9/10 and completed on 11/16/10.

Unless you are having individual fibers sewn in the seats that are shipped in from Libya, that seems a bit long. I would call your CA and get the real skinny.

yep. did not think M3 conv individuals take this long. Unless this is the first platinum M3 conv they are building, which is very very unlikely. I sent the CA a message.

I placed my deposit last Saturady and got an email back from my CA yesterday saying that there are no more production dates availale for March and the earliest that they can get in line is for an April production date with May delivery. Any body out there who recently placed their orders??

You can try another dealer. It may be a dealer allocation issue and not a production constraint.
