i called the 800# this morning on my way into work, automated machine says my car is in transport to port but the Rep says its in quality control and should be done by today, I asked how long it takes to get to port and he said about 1week, hopefully it'll be sooner and hopefully once we get to port we are all set for departure....

Ouch. I just called. Will get off the assembly line and QCheck today. and the car will sent to the dock by monday. Then he said i need to wait at least a week to get on a vessel

Sounds good...if we get on a ship the 17th then our ship should hit the port on or about 4/29 or 30th and since I'm in NJ maybe 2 or 3 more days if I'm lucky to take delivery....so I'm optimistic of my guess of possibly getting my car for my BDay on May 7th

or

if we got on a ship on 4/22 it'll be the May 4/5th and I still could get my car right on or just after my bday....

this is lining up to be the best bday I've had in many years and my girl leaves for China on May 12 and I would like for her to be here when I take delivery before she goes....

Mine was built the 1st (unless its an april fool) and has been at the port since the 3rd. ww site shows no information when i enter my VIN, and the 1800 number says waiting for a vessel.

where does a car bound for Chicago get un loaded? NY or Charleston?

is there a different site for the other shipping company?

do you mean finished built on the 1st, no way it was built on the 1st and made it to port in 2days....

my car was handed over to the carrier and is en route to the port of exit....I hope there aren't too many cars already there ahead of me....how many days does the train take to get to port?

It usually takes about 1 week to get onto a ship. Mine took a week as have many others.

week from today is the 18th and the Elektra leaves on the 17th so more then likely I'll be on the MAERSK WIND or INDEPENDENCE II that leaves on 4/22, I hope I'm on the Maersk Wind b/c it gets here to NY one day quicker on 5/3.....keeping my fingers crossed for the 17th but not likely...

My car is still in limbo right now, i have no idea where its at. 800# says its at a port waiting shipping vessel. However i know it got off the boat Tuesday mourning. I am still praying for delivery today or tomorrow. Tried calling my CA but he went to lunch lol..

Where do you see ship schedules? Also, if the 800# doesn't update you to see your ship, is your dealer the only one to show you which ship you are aboard?

Sorry, I searched and investigated first. This step of the process is a bit rattling.

When a car is released to the carrier for transfer to port the 800# b/c useless b/c thats were they lose track of the car, your CA is your best bet if your in between places, so give him another call in a few and pressure him for your info...your car is probably on its way to dealership today or tomorrow from NYport its less then 100 miles so depending on other stops, should be arriving there any minute hurry clear your schedule and run over there!! jkjkkkjk seriously though you'll get it soon...

here is my search procedure
http://www.2wglobal.com/www/WEP/index.jsp then scroll down and click on ROUTE MAPS then bottom right corner is SCHEDULES then Search by Ports, click on Origin Country: GERMANY, then select BREMERHAVEN and destination port in my case its NEW YORK fill in dates at the bottom from lets say today's date to 3 weeks from now if your car is on its way to port so you get a schedule...and those ships disembarking from from the dates you punched in pop up and give you port dates...you can click on the VOYAGE under Schedule and it tells you what day its suppose to be at each port....

And it the car is headed to the Rocky's (Idaho), would it arrive in San Diego, or East Coast and travel on truck?? I'm getting "No search results."
