How are the M3s seats ripping around a track? I mean does it hold well or do u have to re adjust your body slightly after taking a hard turn? |

I've found that I have to take most, if not all, of the lumbar support out when on the track so the bolsters can really hold me in place or I'll slide out a bit and need to readjust.

I was at Summit Point race track over the weekend with my E46 M3. One thing I started to notice about the Evos and STIs is that even my mostly stock E46 M3 would start running them down at speeds of over 100 mph. I always kind of thought this when comparing my E46 M3 to my old Evo VIII (and my Evo was running significantly more power as well), so maybe it wasn't just me...
So I suspect that with an E92 the disparity would be even greater. I was able to do this on an Evo X, and an older STI (not the new one, didn't see any there). I don't know if these cars were stock or not power-wise. Maybe it is an aero-dynamics or AWD thing? Or both? I don't know. It could have also just been the drivers but this was in a straight line and I don't think I was carrying that much more speed than they were when entering the corner before the main half-mile long straight.

I currently own an '07 STi; I find any STi made after to look like a minivan; I'm speaking in regards to the hatch...
I'm hoping to be getting in to an M3, or at least a 335iS next year... just waiting till the STi is completed, featured, parted, and sold- The only thing the STi has is the ease of modification, period- Here's my old '05 330Ci ZHP w/ boost- Technik, HKS, Brembo, BBS, Vorsteiner Here's my '07 STi - Ohlins, AIM, ACPT, ARC, Tomei, Advan, Voltex, Status-

+1000% no matter the price differential, to even compare an STI to a new M3 is not worthy of any more discussion. Can you imagine being a business man pulling up to a meeting in an STI with all of those ricky racer rear fins, slammed to the ground, etc? Gimme a break boyz

lets run and see, I was in the market for an e92 m3. test drove both the 335 and the m3 and didnt see the big change put between the 2 in power except the price TAG. 335 with down pipes jb3 meth and dual cone air intake big change... and I do spank any M3 e92 with any mod except a supercharger.

Let's see you spank a well-modded M3 with straight 91 or 93 octane .

Who cares about the straight line speed...most people own the M3 (me included) for the bragging rights. Its the best of the best 'vert (without going ferrari), and I can afford it. Heavy modded 3 series are for posers that can't afford the real thing. Sorry

buddy I can well afford the m3 OK lets get that real clear the 335 is my toy and if I would of bought the M3 it would been as well. thank god money its not a problem so you are barking at the wrong tree here. next time check your self and my S55 amg (daily driver) modded will probably beat your M3 as well.
