Best Daily Drive Tires for M220 Wheels

What's your favorite daily driving tires for the non comp 19" wheels on a E90 M3? I'm thinking Michelin Pilot Super Sports but any good alternatives for less money? Bridgestone S04 perhaps?

The S04 is a pretty good tire. I had them on my previous car and I liked them. I have the PSS currently and they are pretty good as well. I find them a little harsh over certain small bumps, so I might try the S04 next time just for the hell of it. The PSS might have a tiny bit more dry traction, but you won't be able to tell the difference for street driving. There are a lot of wanna be racers on this board that will try to convince you they can notice the difference, even though realistically it's probably a 1% difference in traction.

Thanks I have a set of 18x10 wheels with slicks for track don't need ultimate grip tires for dd prefer durability, comfort and good rain performance.

The S04 is your best alternative for less money than the PSS. Yokohama Advan Sport V105 are similar money to the PSS. They're a lot of fun, but not in stock yet in the stock 19" size combo. We'll have an up to date list of available sizes here.

Continental Extreme Contact DW have good rain traction and very nice pricing. Not quite as crisp handling as the the others but still sporty.

Conti DW. Great dd tires. Seriously good in the wet. I've done wet track days and been through monsoons on the highway with them.

I like the Bridgestones. They frequently test second only to the PSS, and while they are heavy, I feel they have better wet performance and last longer than the PSS, while being a good bit cheaper. In my experience, once PSS are down to 60-70% thread, they lose a lot of their grip.

That'd probably be the SportContact 3. If you don't like those, the DW are probably not ideal for you.

I like my pilot as3s. If you can push these hard enough that you feel they are not grippy enough you are driving too hard on the street.

Impressive in colder weather. They are my "winter set".

I had S04s put on my car in August and I love em. hasn't been much rain here since then, but what little there has been has been a non-issue.

Ordered some S04's, local guy at Discount Tire was able to get me the stock sizes for 875 installed out the door, not bad.
