Did you spin all the wheels to check for any bending? I imagine you did, but just asking. Can you swap a different set of wheels on the car and see if the issue is still there?

Well, 500 miles later and it's still happening so I jacked up the car to feel the tire surface and I don't see or feel any rubber slag, chunking, or anything. Upon initial inspection the tread looks totally normal.

No other unusual driving behavior (from the car at least!).

I did have a spin and 2 offs at the track day (&#128556, but didn't hit anything (not even a curb, or one of those cinder blocks) and didn't have any visible damage. I've removed all wheels as part of my post track day cleanup/check up and no visual bends or cracks to wheels (Apex EC-7). Track pads have been swapped all around back to street pads, and components cleaned and inspected at that time.

No play in wheel bearings, no whirring noise, no squeal.

Ideas on where to check next?
could have knocked some wheel weights off.

Send it.

Unless you can catch your fingernail on it, no, it looks fine. IME you will not hit minimum thickness on these big BBKs, you will end up getting excessive cracking that causes a replacement.

Surface cracks like these are common if they have been used on track. Not a concern until they reach the edge.

What he said - a broken belt can cause womp womps without any obvious wear/bulges etc. at first

Any other effective tricks on finding small leaks?
It was that valve stem cap. Apparently just that one was defective enough when it was placed on securely, it caused a slight leak.

Definitely not. The cracks get a lot bigger before you have to stop using them.

This is a 26 track day rotor with a crack on the edge - I retired them after I saw this.

It's not cracked until you can see daylight through it.

Cracked rotors are like toilet paper, you can use both sides until they're done.

It depends on how hard you drive the car, tires, cooling, pad choice, rotor size, etc. I could get 26 days if I just do one session a day...

Have you seen how I drive?

LoL. I paid for the track time, I'm going to use it. During some private track days, I've done sessions where I go out with a full tank of gas and came back empty - 40 min of driving. That's where I learned the Nankang AR-1s can take it as long as you have the tires dialed in right at the start.

I'll add that Brembo's Type 3 rotor survives only 6 or 7 days in my hands on my E46, same with stoptech rotor. This is why I like the AP kit so much - I regularly get 20+ days on a single rotor. The rear rotors on my E92 have 80 days on them.
