Will have supercharged v6 3.0. Also Audi states they will reduce the weight of the s5. Do you think they will be able to out perform the 335i?

I guess those **** realized the v8 with bad fuel economy, more money, and < performance then the 335i.

I wish BMW would come out with a lighter weight 335. Take out most of the luxury items and give us the BMW performance seats, lighter sound deadening material, some aluminum body panels (or carbon fiber), light weight wheels and a more track oriented suspension. Make the car around 3200lbs and it'll get better fuel mileage due to lower weight and it'll perform better due to loosing 300lbs without having to add HP.

The S5 is still great looking. I just wish they would make it RWD to start with instead of starting essentially as a FWD car and making it AWD. This would really reduce weight for them.

Correct me if I am wrong but reading your thoughts above it sounds like if the S5 behaved more like a rwd car with the ability to occasionally throw the tail on demand and yet retain a lot of the reassurance that comes with awd then you would be a potential customer.

Well that is exactly how the new S4 behaves when combined with SportsDiff so I would hazard a guess and say when the S5 gets the new 3.0 engine and SportsDiff as well as DSG you should seriously book yourself a test drive.
