Tighten Header Bolts

Hello,

I have a leak around the headers of the car (mainly drivers side)

Anybody have experience tightening ther header jolts in the car? Local shop quoted $1700 to replace the gaskets, but hoping to try tightening first. Thanks!

It's a pretty huge PITA to get them off, front subframe needs to be dropped. Might as well do rod bearings if you haven't already.

If you wanted to try tightening a few, you can try to remove the shields and see if you can get a socket with a universal joint on them some how. When I removed them, I had lowered the engine a bit to get access from the wheel wells you wont be able to do what without dropping the sub-frame, but there is still a chance you could reach a few of them.

Goodluck.

Thanks for the feedback! Hopefully I can pull the heat shield from the top side and squeeze some extension/ratchet joints in there to try to tighten a few.
