I saw on the m6 forums that the front weigh about 25.5 lbs but I forgot what the rear was. I think they said it was 2lbs more for the rear (9.5). I heard they make a 10.5 too but am not sure how high those were.
I guess I just have to lose weight to offset the nicer M6 rims. haha

I think they would look awesome...I think black looks great too but is too played out but its your car and your decision so more power to you.

I had 167M reps on my 328i coupe and they looked amazing. For some reason I didn't think that wheel would translate to the M3. IT DOES AND LOOKS AMAZING. What a great wheel design that it looks terrific on virtually everything. If I ever swap out the 359M's it will be with 167M reps.

Ah... so you ran stock 19 tire sizes then? I'm tempted to get a set and powder coat them black... save my 18's for winter only.

Yes I ran the stock sized M3 tires on the OEM 167's The 255/285 combo on the GTS would be just right IMO. And the coolest thing of all is that fact that you dont need spacers!

Godammit why did I open this thread - I was content until 5 seconds ago !!!!!
Does anyone know the offsets for these ? I'm running 220m's on 15mm front 12mm rear spacers over AP racing BBK and would seriously consider these if I could get the flush look without spacers.

So if one were to do this are you recommending sticking with M3 OEM tires? or a different size tire? Also there are many rims BMW makes that follows this design. I'm curious which ones specifically would fit best on the M3. I'm not versed very well in what sizes of rims and tires fit the M3. (After researching this style of rim I decided to share my findings of similar BMW OEM) Old M6 167m 19" New M5 and M6 343M 20" F10 550i M-sport 351M 19" F12 6 series M-Sport 373m 20" 335is 313 19" F30 M-sport 400m 18" and F30 M-Sport 403m 19" F30 Sport 397 18" on the far left M6 344M 19" Could not find a picture but the low rez thumbnail on the German bmw site for the new M^ had a similar look M6 408M 19" best picture I could find Last edited by dadealus; 02-17-2012 at 01:28 AM.. |

I dont know about any of those other rims, I had the 167m that came directly off my M6. I ran the stock sized M3 PS2 245/35/19F 265/36/19R with no spacers. That is the exact setup my car has in all the pics. The car is also on Dinan stage 3 Susp. It did not rub and IMO the GTS 255/285 tire combo would have fit and filled the wheel gap perfectly. The OEM 167's had a very low off set, I cant remember exactly (between 9-15ish) Needless to say the car had a wide stance and I loved it!

I am surprised so few have tried this. I have been running this set up since 2009 and I have absolutely no issues. My e92 m3 is lowered on h&r race springs and I am running 285/35/19 rears, 255/35/19 fronts with absolutely no rubbing. I know I cant go any larger on tires. I am happy with this setup.
