bottom plates on solid subframe bushings
i can't find it now, but i'm pretty sure bimmerworld says that you shouldn't reuse the bottom plates (or whatever those reinforcement plates are called) from your rubber bushings. looks like my installer did. i assume this is a "fix it before you go to the track" thing, not a "don't drive until you fix it" thing? and the subframe bolts aren't stretch, right? I can just pull the bolt out, drop the plate and put it back in? or do i need new bolts too?

when i bought mine from bimmerworld, their was no mentioned to having to buy new ones, although it wouldn't hurt to buy new stuff for the rear subframe since it doesn't come off often...

no no, i mean i think bw doesn't want you to use them at all. at least that's what i'm remembering. i can't find the paper insert and they don't have it online.

yeah, just heard back from BW:
"It's okay that your shop installed the bushings with the washers. There's no real ramifications of doing so, it just looks a little goofy under the car with a washer on the bushing flange."

more from BW:
The only reason they aren't needed is because the flange of the bushing is now on the same side as the bolt head. You're not damaging anything by including them, you now just have an added level of redundancy to the mount. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
