Radiator Mileage
I'm wondering how long a stock radiator will last. Anyone with stock rads still in their car can you please share your mileage?

I imagine climate has a lot to do with it. It’s the plastic end tanks that are the issue.

Good to hear that our rad is tough. I have a habit of preemptively changing rads at 100k kms but I think I may double that now.

The previous owner of my M3 did the front radiator and coolant hoses at 190k.
My water pump and expansion tank are still original to the car at 207k miles. |

Love seeing these numbers 😍 it definitely helps longevity if you’re garaged. Had a few e9x m3 radiator go out around 100-130k miles cause they were stored outside in the Cali sun. My garaged car hasn’t had issues yet to any cooling components at 135k

usually cracks occurs on the radiator when trying to remove the coolant hoses from it. i have a do88 radiator, changed at 83k maybe. Nothing was wrong with my stock radiator when I took it out.

That's the curious thing, I've not heard of the stock radiator plastic end tanks cracking, or at least not commonly. I have heard of leaks at the fin/tubes and this also affects aftermarket rads with metal end tanks. In fact, aftermarket rads seem to be more prone to tube leaks than the stock rad.
