New e93 M3 Owner intro
Hi all,
My name is Seth and I live in the Denver Colorado area. I've been registered on here for a bit but never owned an M3. We've had a few BMWs over the years, in the past, an 88 325i Convertible, a 96 325i Convertible. We currently have an 09 328i M Sport Convertible 6MT (Wife's car), a 14 X1 e84 (daughter's car) and a I just picked up a new to me 2008 e93 M3 6MT. I am super stoked about the M3. I've been eyeing them for a long time. I didn't really want a convertible but found a deal I couldn't pass up on an original owner, garage kept with a clean title and only 40K on the clock. It needs a few cosmetic fixes, most notably a 5 gallon paint can apparently fell off a shelf and hit the driver's quarter leaving a nasty scar and a small blemish in the rear bumper cover. The wheels have some curb rash too. Otherwise she's pretty mint and well optioned. I look forward to spending some time here and learning. I have a lot of questions! |

Welcome and congrats on the new addition. Verts don’t get much love around here, but if you actually enjoy top down motoring, the extra weight and drop in performance as compared to a coupe is worth the compromise. I have a 2013 that I picked up right before Covid hit in early 2020 and I love it. Mine is a 6MT, one owner car as well. I just crossed over 57K miles on mine and have some cosmetic mods and an ACM modded muffler for a bit more audible grunt. It is a fun car.

Congrats on a beautiful car!
For sure, 93 M3 gotten no loves. Also got my 2012 E93 M3 a few months before Covid hit. I couldn't pass up on the deal, it had about 34k miles, DINAN S2 package for $28.5k🤑 |

Congrats! Such a beautiful car. I found there are a few good M3 E93 channels and they cover some good maintenance and repair tips.

I got this one for $20,300. Felt like it was a pretty good deal based on Autotrader nation wide search and the low mileage and condition. I do hate the convertible weighs so much more. It's a lot of car for 20K! Rod bearing not done though.

Though there isn't much activity, be sure to come over and check out the E93 thread: https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=403227
Also, if you haven't found the documentation, look up how to lube the origami top. I did that after purchasing mine and it runs smooth as could be. When I purchased the car it was kinda jerky and squeaky. Those joints and bearings need some love. |

Enjoy the car and not worry so much about the extra Wright. Especially if you are not planning on tracking. If you do then you should have gotten the e92 or something else.

Nice looking car! I'm on my 2nd season with mine. Just hit 60K. I found that I drive with the top down more often than I thought I would. I put some Dinan bits and a tune on the engine and DCT, now it is just how I like it.

Some updated pics of my M3 after the Apex EC7 wheels, tinted windows and body fixes/paint correction.

Gorgeous! Nearly twins, I wouldn’t trade my 6MT E93 for anything… Jerez Black Metallic over bamboo beige, recently swapped the factory 220M wheels for black Titan TS5s… enjoy the heck out of it!

thats a great looking car, an e93 with the top down with an intake and exhaust is a very intoxicating combination.

Great looking car! Enjoy the top down motoring. When I owned my s2000s I’d drive with the top down as long as the temperature was above 25 *F and the roads weren’t wet or covered in salt.

Nice. That looks good. What size(s) are those wheels? I've been thinking about maybe getting a set of those in an 18x10 square setup.
Square setup - Apex EC-7 ET 25 18x10 wheels and Nitto Motivo 275-35R18 I think the back could use some spacers though. The fronts stick out a little closer to the fender lip and look better.
