Exclamation BMW E92 M3 Onboard Lap @ Spa with Junior

Hi guy's,

Had a great track day with the ///M @ Spa Francorchamps on monday.
Last time I drove there I had my Biblical Brake Failure
But the F+R Stoptechs held up nice, no fading even with my abuse.
I did upgrade my front axle brake cooling, and I needed it.

I bought the GoPro HD camera and I would recommend you all get them.
Here is the result* ,Enjoy:

Video availble in HD, so ramp up the quality!!!

* To get this result I had to buy a new iMac with Quad Core i7 processor because my Dual Core couldn't handle the rendering. And you need Final Cut Express/Pro

More video's on my www.youtube.com/juniorstrous channel.

Great driving Junior! I've driven Spa but not nearly at your speed. Where did you mount the front camera?

Also, the speedo overlay is awesome. It's funny what pops up on the screen during track days.

Thanks for sharing.

Amazing!

I have 2 GoPro HDs. I bought the second one last week. The purpose for that one will be just like yours, to record the instrument panel. I did a test with mounting it at the streering column (right behind the wheel). I believe that's where yours is too? I'm using720p mode (to get wider angle).

How did you get such clear engine sound? I have a zoom HD recorder, but didn't experiment yet to see where to attach it.

Where did you place the Go-pro. Did you use a seperate camera to get the dashboard?

See my post. Seperate GoPro mounted on steering column works.

Nice camera work,great driving

I'm guessing you used the interior cam for engine sound?

How did you mount the dash camera?

Thanks

Awesome. I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to drive Spa at speed, albeit in a Volvo V70 D5 wagon (with AT and a torquey diesel). Such a great track. I personally like it better than the ring. Watching your video brought back some great memories, like my first time down the main straight heading into Eau Rouge and Radillon. Thanks for posting it.

Good to see you back here.
Great vid. Talk about using all the track and straightening out the curves.
Great to hear the StopTechs held up well.

Did you have any problems with the power steering fluid boiling?

.

You cats who get to drive these great tracks had better know how good you've got it - lucky bast***s! Nice outside overtaking move on the approach to Pouhon - damn near put in the scenery there.

I was shocked to see single-piston brakes on the front end of the M3. What the...?

I'm going there this Saturday...got four 25 min. lap sessions. My car is all stock, I see that I should be saving my brakes a bit. How long into the run until you had that brake meltdown?

Sears Point's and Laguna Seca are not bad and close enough for us, I would like to go to SPA though(plus the obviously the ring)
