FS: Borla ATAK Rear Section Muffler (E9x M3)

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 1,100.00

Item Interest
Selling my modded Borla ATAK muffler for e92/93 M3 models. The top of the muffler was cut open and the internal packing was replaced with lighter weight material making this one of the lightest muffler options you can get. It was professionally welded back together. Sound level is bit quieter than a 2 pipe OEM mod, but with less drone and better tonality.

Tips were a bit dirty in the first photo but I've since cleaned and polished them up.

It will also fit an E90 M3 with a diffuser perfectly, but the tips will be a bit long without one.

Asking $1100 USD shipped.

Why did you replace the material inside exactly? Was it to make it quieter? I understand it is lighter, but by what max 1-2kg?

Would you say it drones at all? Especially say between 1500rpm to 2200rpm?

As a owner of an ATAK system that is probably already neighbors-hate-me-level, what does this sound like? Any video clips?

(FYI - beyond me being interested in the clips as a non-potential customer, many won't be likely to buy an exhaust without at least having a sample of what it sounds like)
