HELP: Check Control Message 302 - car will not start

Hey guys, i have had this error on my car out of sudden, and the car will not start and had to be towed to the workshop.
car is 2010 DCT.

what has been done so far:
Connected to read the error codes - nothing came out
Battery checked - OK, recently replaced 1 month ago
Bowden cable checked - looks in tact. but there is no signal between ECU and the DCT. The mechanic has checked all the wiring from the gear assembly and all looked OK.
suspected the DCT gear assembly faulty or the CAS which is currently being diagnosed.

Any help to pinpoint the errors?

GWS malfunction, your shifter is failing or failed.

So the DCT was finally dropped and the mechanic opened the mechatronic and found some oil leak. no signal coming out of the output, and it's suspected fried. can the mechatronic be rebuild? or sold separately or do i have to buy the whole new transmission?
