Question Recommendations on CF Splitters?

Does anyone have any recommendations for OEM-like carbon fiber splitters? I am looking for a cheaper alternative to BMW's CF splitters, since that price is ridiculous... My main concern with going aftermarket is fitment.

I found the below CF Splitters, but can't find any threads/posts vouching for their quality and fitment:
http://www.**********s.com/BMW-Perfo...-Splitters.htm

Any input would be appreciated!

I have no experience with any CF splitters and I am still unsure if I want to install any myself.

Being a wear and tear part it would make more sense to me that this should be an inexpensive purchase and replaced more frequently (as opposed to an expensive permanent mod).

These sold on ebay are fairly cheap and might suffice until they need replacement from wear.

Good Luck!

I agree, I am on my second splitter now. They hang pretty low and are prone to damage from speed bumps, steep driveways, road debris, etc.

Exactly why I am shying away from OEM... Did you go with aftermarket for your second set? Or did you fork out $$$ for OEM?

No, they hang low and get rock chipped really badly. Had 2 OEM sets on my last car and my current set already looks tough

By design, the OEM splitter does not hang lower than the stock bumper by any more than the thickness of the CF. Perhaps the non-OEM ones have a slightly different shape?

I would definately go with the MOD bargains one first. The eBay ones look to have a little different shape. But again no experience with either.

there are OEM ones on eBay for $550 if I can remember correctly from bmw Bloomfield. I rather shell out a lil extra for OE parts and better resale value down the road if you decide to part out

I would also be interested in people's reviews of the **********s and/or ebay splitters. OEM cost a bit too much for "cosmetic only" items that can get damaged easily.

Seriously, the car is not that low. Have them clear bra wrapped, had mine wrapped and no sign of wear. A $70k car and you want to slap some garbage on? Try Pacific BMW, they've always hooked me up.

Have to agree...

Unless you lowered your car to the ground and are hitting the highest speed bumps and dips in the road, you're not going to cause serious damage to them.

Rock chips, yea they happen, so get them wrapped and they'll be fine.

"Garbage" is HARDLY what my initial post suggested... If anything, buying a product that is unreasonably priced enables overpriced parts to begin with!

I can't vouch for anyone else here, but I always look for the best quality for my dollar. And if I can save a few bucks (or few hundred) on a cosmetic mod, then why not???

+1 Agree on that.

Of course I'm going to be bias on that statement, but it's also because I've had terrible experiences in the past with carbon fiber parts off ebay. The ones we have here I've seen great fitment in the past before, with a good weave that looks great on the car of course. I haven't personally heard a complaint about those

OEM will always have the best fitment, Vorsteiner is a close second on the splitters. Unfortunately, anything with the words "style" or "replica" in it is taking a chance of fitment as most is copied product imported from overseas.

Simply search for feedback from others to see what has worked in the past.
