Removing headlight covers

I'd like to apply Laser Veil to my headlights and would ideally like to take them off the M3 before painting.

Any way to easily remove only the headlight covers (clear plastic covers) without taking the bumper off? I did a search and all I could find was info about taking out the whole headlight assembly, I think.

Thanks..

It's not possible. You need to bake open the headlights in order to remove the covers, which also requires taking off the bumper.

I so miss the ability to replace the covers as the E46 had.

Agreed, those were a piece of cake compared to the E92.
