I absolutely LOVE that steering wheel. I'm just afraid of the wear and tear.

The center trim that's peeling is covered under warranty for that. I've had two replaced.

How's the wheel holding up with hand sweat?

I am not saying its not nice, it is, but this is super expensive for something you could probably get done for 150 bucks locally by wrapping your m wheel in suede.
Wrong about that, I'm afraid. An Alcantara wrap is going to cost you at least $350 and it won't be OEM. For that much, with OEM plus the brand new core, the wheel is a huge bargain.
On another note, the wheel does not elongated like it does in the factory picture, i.e. the wheel doesn't look stretched at the bottom to accommodate the flat part. Just doesn't look like the factory pics. Looks MUCH better! Is that just the camera angle? Surprised that it looks better.

Garage List
I have put nearly 10k miles on a BMW Perf steering wheel (yellow version) and it is just as new looking when I got it.

This upgrade is definatly one I enjoy everytime I drive the car. The suede feels much better in your hands and it has more grip than the stock wheel. The flat bottom is also a nice improvement.
