Need Help....Carbon Fiber

Should I purchase a carbon fiber hood, Fenders and trunk for my e92 or just buy the trunk? I was thinking of just buying the Carbon Fiber trunk. I feel like it takes away from the car buying all that carbon.

If you care for the weight savings, then yes do it.

I'm not a fan of too much exposed CF, so even the trunk id still get painted anyway, maybe with some exposed CF on the lip or something.

But if using exposed CF, I always find it best to use it sparingly, but in different areas to carry out a theme (lips, mirrors, but not full hood/trunk - just my 2c)

Agree. I was thinking just the mirrors and the hood vents really cause I already got a front lip, side skirts, and rear diffusers CF.

I had a carbon trunk for about 18 months. It was a good brand and saved about 9lbs IIRC. The trunk leaked water and started to break around the trunk lock mechanism. I wouldn't bother again, there's no good substitute for OEM body panels IMO.

Appreciate your opinion. I'm going to keep the car nice and simple.
