Extended warranty question
Hi guys! I just picked up a 2011 E92 M3 with 60k miles on it. Now I have been researching for days on which extended warranty to get. So far I have been quoted $4000 for a 5 year/100k mile warranty from Wanted Auto Protect, $8000 from Assurant, which is too expensive for my liking.
Can anyone share their experience with extended warranties? What worries me is the dreaded rod bearing failure that can happen anytime, although at low percentage, which is the main reason for me to consider getting extended warranties. Throttle actuators arent also covered by some warranties but thats already expected. Any input will help! Thanks! |

I have the same issue here, just hit 51k miles on my 08. I am worried. May just do the preventative maintenance myself, I got quoted 2200$ for the best bearings on the market with installation (total). Might be worth it. Ill stay tuned and post anything I find. Mine is extended out to 91,000 miles.
