hmm... how many miles on them since the last rebuild? i've heard jrz's have a shorter life than some other shocks. what exactly clicks? valve shims loose or something? kinda weird.

No idea when the last rebuild was, or if it was ever done. They are well used judging by appearance. There's something inside the shock that is making the sound.

I just did my first autocross in my 2008 M3. What is everyone's opinion on turning on the most aggressive power setting, as well as the EDC setting for autocross? Someone recommended I leave then off for autox.

Throttle in Sport+ is too much - I leave mine in Sport (for track). I find it easier to control.

i don't know if you're asking specifically about his f30, but in my e92 i started running EDC in comfort and dropped lap times significantly at three tracks.

don't even turn on the "power", it will make you less smooth. if you're on a smooth surface, you might be fine with the firmest EDC, but if there are bumps or uneven transitions, definitely go with comfort.
i don't know anyone that tracks with the "power" button on. its a marketing scheme.

for a straight line race, it doesn't matter a whole lot, but i still wouldn't bother. on street tires, you'll have to manage the throttle to reduce wheel spin, which would be more difficult to do with power plus. with using launch control, it wouldn't matter because its going to do what it does regardless. you basically hold the pedal to the floor anyways. 100% throttle is 100% throttle.
