hmm... how many miles on them since the last rebuild? i've heard jrz's have a shorter life than some other shocks. what exactly clicks? valve shims loose or something? kinda weird.

No idea when the last rebuild was, or if it was ever done. They are well used judging by appearance. There's something inside the shock that is making the sound.

Or insufficient front negative camber

no rebuilds but need a new rear bottom bushing for the bolt. anyone ever have to change these by chance? any upgrade-able ones?

I just did my first autocross in my 2008 M3. What is everyone's opinion on turning on the most aggressive power setting, as well as the EDC setting for autocross? Someone recommended I leave then off for autox.

Throttle in Sport+ is too much - I leave mine in Sport (for track). I find it easier to control.

How about the EDC setting? On or off?

i don't know if you're asking specifically about his f30, but in my e92 i started running EDC in comfort and dropped lap times significantly at three tracks.

I'm basically trying to figure out the optimal settings in my e93 for autocross in regards to the power setting and the edc setting

don't even turn on the "power", it will make you less smooth. if you're on a smooth surface, you might be fine with the firmest EDC, but if there are bumps or uneven transitions, definitely go with comfort.
i don't know anyone that tracks with the "power" button on. its a marketing scheme.

I'm assuming that having power plus on for a straight line race or quarter mile is ok though? Does power plus make the car any faster?

all it does is make the pedal travel physically shorter to wide open throttle. it doesn't actually do anything engine wise to quicken throttle response. it is a perceived response from a more sensitive throttle pedal. being smoother on the throttle is quicker. nobody will debate this unless they are grossly misinformed or don't understand.

for a straight line race, it doesn't matter a whole lot, but i still wouldn't bother. on street tires, you'll have to manage the throttle to reduce wheel spin, which would be more difficult to do with power plus. with using launch control, it wouldn't matter because its going to do what it does regardless. you basically hold the pedal to the floor anyways. 100% throttle is 100% throttle.

Wow! I never knew that. Thank you for the info. I've been under the wrong impression of that power button. Off it stays!
