Which Oil to use???

hey peepz just got the oil light on, the dealers aint open on sunday so was thinking of going to a motorspareshop down the road from me which should be open, just wanted to know what oil is need for the M3'S (e92).

Always a good to keep a spare litre in the boot - I think that you need to top up within 75 miles of the light coming on.

Mine needs topping up about every 4k miles. It's worth buying in bulk and supplying your own oil for servicing, it works out a lot cheaper.

Buying single litre bottles from the dealer will cost you £13-£14 per litre, I've managed to pick up oil for about £8

How much oil do you need for an oil change? Im going to buy mine from opieoils and give it to BMW, rather than pay their prices.

So maybe buy 3 x 4 litre cartons and use the remainder for topping up?
