31 here. I bought my first M3 (2005 E46 6MT coupe) at 25 as a law school graduation treat and swapped that for the E90 this year after the birth of our first child.

congrats on your first born.

Question, how is the room in the back with a rear facing child seat? it is pretty tight squeeze or is there a bit of room between the car seat and back of the front seats?

Thank you!
It's a little tight. I believe you should always have a ~1/2'' gap between the front seat and the child seat, so it's really just getting the child seat installed then adjusting the front seat as back as it will go. You end up with a front seat that is comfortable for those in the mid 5' range. I can fit (6') in the passenger seat with the kid seat installed behind, but it wouldn't be comfortable for long. Oddly it seems to fit exactly the same in the E90 as it does in our QX70S (f/k/a Infiniti "FX37") or MK7 Golf TDI.
I also don't have the smallest car seat (Nuna Rava) that I could get. I'll take some photos if you would like more info. That said, it works fine, and is way easier than a coupe.

31 years now. Bought my E92 at 27 years. Still running like a champ after doing rod bearings and regular scheduled maintenance.

Yes, my wear sensor came on the the rear so I decided to just do All four sides together. The pads needed to be replaced Rotors were fine...but decided to upgrade them as well as brake lines All 6 brake lines.

Smile It's never too late to start racing these fun machines

I was 57 when I got my first 2011 M3 E92. I have been getting it track ready for almost 10 months now and will be going to VIR next weekend for my 2nd run at an HPDE event with this Supercharged beast. Still learning the lines but raced motorcycles when I was in my 20s so I am catching on...slowly

Who is the oldest so far in THIS thread? I will not post my age unless everyone is younger than me. It was humiliating to be the second oldest in the sticky thread above. The good news is that as people die off, you gradually move to the top.

Well I'm in the mid 5' so no problem for me. I looked up your car seat and yeah it isn't the smallest but is probably safe. Not sure what car seat we will buy but it has to be narrow because of our other little one. Wife is crazy about the newborn in the middle.

Hey! I'm 26 and also in San Francisco and also am a lawyer. I got mine this year as a treat for jumping out of boutique trial practice to biglaw (Dentons), so I had the room in my new budget.

If you don't mind my asking, where are you at (PM is fine)? I'm from LA and getting used to the absolute lack of a car scene in SF - are there any good meets around here outside of the BMW CCA Golden Gate chapter?

Ha. Let’s not get a lawyer thread going lol. I am too. There is prolly quite a few. But I celebrate 10 years out of law school this year. I don’t miss big law (WilmerHale dc)
