First track day at Castle Combe, UK
Been driving for 15 years and owned couple of M3s, but this is my first time ever on the track. If anyone's interested, here's my first ever track day video, info and images.
Done about 50 laps, it was fairly cold and wet. Spun in the morning. Didn't push very hard especially for my first time. Also, now I finally understand why you need bucket seats. I was literally falling out of my seat at around 50-60mph in the corners. Probably could push further with the tyres, but I couldn't keep myself seated properly!! Also, it seems rather expensive to go on a track here in the UK at 230 USD for the day. Is any cheaper in the US? Anyway, thanks for looking.

Oh shit you're the MPE test pipes video guy! I loved that audio. You're literally the only youtuber who I remember from an exhaust video. Also, $230 USD isn't bad for a full day. How much time on track was it total?

9 to 5 with an hour break in between. 20 cars at once on the track. On the day, about 50 cars were there. Queue time wasn't too bad at all. Thanks mate. Absolutely.

Thanks for sharing! I recognize that track from all of the UK motoring magazines, haha.

Track days in California organized by event organizers that sign up 60-150 cars per day generally charge $180-$300 for each event. You can find a little cheaper, but the quality of the event is not guaranteed.
I used to drive on track in a stock seat in my E90 M3 until it got turned into a dedicated track car. Two things helped me: - CG-Lock worked well for me. Helps hold you down a bit. - I put a volleyball knee pad on my left knee. I turned it sideways so the pad would face the door and I would brace my left leg against the door to help hold me in place and prevent any bruising on the outside of my knee. With your right-hand drive, is there a way to brace you left knee against the center console? I've never been in a right-hand drive M3. So, did you catch the motorsport bug with this first outing?
