I knew this Lucki vert guy would show up eventually.... we get it... you like the slowest e9x M car. We get that you don't mind the rattles, noises, poorer handling, etc. We get it.

If by 'girly car' you mean that women pay more attention to the convertible, that works for me. Good luck with the 4-door sedan.

May we ask if your E90 is paid off? If so you actually stand to make money on this deal by selling your M3 and paying only $10k for a newer car. If you owe the bank then it seems to me the deal may not be one to make.
In your position driving on the street you're not going to notice a huge difference between the E93 vs E90. Everyone likes to talk smack about the E90/2 being better performers, and I'm not arguing they're not, however when using them for weekend drives you're not going to notice much of a difference. I'm sure there are some E93s with top issues, (mine doesn't have any), but if you've spent some time in this particular example and didn't notice anything then you have your answer. I purchased an E93 to enjoy weekend drives with the kids in the back; I have other cars for track days or more performance oriented driving. However, even the E93 is going to leave my fleet behind on a mountain road (save maybe the Z4M), so it's still a well performing car. Trade an open roof experience for some trunk and back seats space? Your call.

Sorry all, Been a busy few days...
The payoff on my late fathers e93 was $10K, He bought it a few years ago with just under 10K miles and had enjoyed it quite a bit! My mother paid the car off last week and I think we are just going to sell it, I'll most likely post it up here and in our local BMW group, I really detest car sales. My e90 is paid off, which has been nice. I had also considered getting the RB's done and most likely engine mounts on our e90, at this point we still need a sedan. Thanks again for all the responses. |

My friend detailed the E93 for me and took some pictures, So we can list it for sale, I'm having a "come to Jesus" moment, I really like it and my friend has done a fabulous job on detailing it, I'm waffling here...
Anyhow, If I decide I can live without an E93, I'll post it up in the for sale section. |

Man with the low miles and at that price point you shouldn't just straight up sell it, just look at it. Keep both for the summer and then make a decision which you sell in the fall. You can split the profit with your parents so everyone feels good about it. Take your dad on a road trip. Seems like best of all worlds.

to OP
get the e93 a lot less miles. not saying the e90 is going to break down but at that price, miles, warranty it just seems like a better deal. also consider the options on the e93 vs your current car. it will still be a cruiser from what i understand, and if it has newer tech (ie. BT, newer nav, etc) you will probably like it more.

E90 M3 Rocks. But does the E93 hold any sentimental value? That would be my only reason to keep it. I would definitely buy it regardless at that price and sell it at a profit if you decide you don't want both.

Ok, Catastrophe averted, To some degree...
I ended up purchasing the E93 and selling our E90 to a friend whom I had purchased my first M3 from, An E36 M3/4/5 back in 2005 and whom also went with me to test drive the E90 before I bought it. So once again, Thank you for everyone's comments, I'll upload all the pictures I was going to use for the for sale add, A couple will be duplicates Last edited by VitSports6; 06-02-2019 at 01:08 AM.. |
