as soon as I get the info from the Karbonius guy I'll post it
The dyno stuff is unrelated to the group buy. I'd like to have the info but well, it is what it is |

SYT_Shadow not sure if I missed it (this is quite a thread) but will you be tuning for 93 oct or e85? This thing would rip on an e85 tune!

So I just installed my M24 airbox and have a question for OP. Do you also get hesitation at low rpm at throttle? Mine takes a second and then it starts going

It isn't meant to be a dyno queen. This car sees ~40 track days a year. |

UPDATE
I'll post this but lets please keep further discussion either to another thread or via PMs. I don't want to pollute this thread. https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1520978 We have been chasing an issue with the E90's engine for a few months. It was smoking like crazy and running rough. After replacing a ton of parts we removed the Xpipe and it turns out the driver's side cat had collapsed, completely blocking the exhaust exit. As the fumes needed to escape somewhere so it blew through the valve stem seals. We got all this replaced, but apparently doing a couple track days and driving a few thousand miles on the street with the engines sometimes working fine and other times not working fine were too much. Yesterday it seized while on the dyno. It put down good numbers before that though. The car evidently had BE bearings and ARP bolts. The current hypothesis is main bearings. We will see. So Karbonius before/after numbers on my car will have to wait until I can move the airbox to the E92. Likely at the end of August when I'm back from Europe.

Karbonius full CF manifold for S65! It's here!
Can someone help me understand why this and the MPE is of relevance?
I am missing something. Alone the induction sound will b changed but how does that enhance the MPE? I have an MPE and feel that I can barely hear it so a louder induction sound will drown it out even more right :? |

Many if not most drivers, when they start modding, don't realize how much of what they thought of as "motor sound" is actually the intake and not the exhaust. I'd say a large segment of the driving public has no idea at all how much the intake adds to the sound. Mixing the intake and exhaust notes is what gives you the overall sound. Slight differences in either factor will cause a greater change to the total sound than those factors considered individually. I've personally noticed this when changing intakes and different sections of the exhaust on my M3. |
