I remember reading that DYI some time ago and it had accompanying pictures but the pictures are gone. It's kind of daunting to go by text only. How was it for you Phil ?

Yeah . Meanwhile the pics are gone . My car has only 34K miles on it , no need to replace mine .
Car runs just fine . For the moment my car is stored in my garage for the winter .

I'm the same my car only has 31K miles but low gears got rough at the engagement point (bucking) as if the DMF and clutch (6MT) aren't doing their job anymore, but no problem at all shifting gears, and no clutch slipping, not sure what is going on. The symptoms of a bad DMF should be chattering and vibrations, but not getting that. I thought it could be broken engine mounts but symptom for that is NVH at idle and not getting that either. That leaves the rest of the drivetrain and of course the engine.
This issue started two years ago under factory warranty, wasn't quite as bad as it is now and the dealer claimed it was normal (no way !) and did nothing. Now it's developed to worse and am no longer under warranty.
