E92 M3 oil usage
Checking out the background of M3.
It’s less than 30k Miles and I’ve noticed on the dealer preparation invoice a litre of oil was used. It is only 1800 miles since the last oil service, August 2019. Car has full service history and always under warranty. No reference to anything oil related. Any thoughts along the following lines , please, to help prompt any questions asked. If it had needed a litre , after 1800 miles , is that excessive ? If excessive , any known faults or issues to get checked out ? Any reason to remove a small amount of oil during preparation for sale which might then require a top up ? Alternatively , does seeing 1 litre on an internal invoice even mean anything, could they have billed a litre even if it was only topped up a small amount for example ? Thanks ! |

OP, a quick search on this forum will provide you with plenty oil consumpion info stating that the s65 can drink anything between nothing measurable and 1 litre per 1000 milea or so. BMWs acceptance level is very high.
The invoice doesn't say much though, as you say maybe they topped up a tad and billed the complete bottle. |
