BC BR Coilovers Installed - E90 M3
I finally got a set of coilovers. I went with BC BR's. For the price, can't beat it. I only daily drive the car so these are perfect. They ride great. I don't know why people bash these coilovers honestly. I think people are give in too much to the KW hype. I really don't see the need for $2000+ coilovers if you daily drive the car. I think the BC's are awesome and I highly recommend them
I personally will miss having the EDC functionality, but for now, I’m very pleased with the BC’s. Big thanks to Euromotive Performance for installing them and getting me right. Best shop in South Florida. Check out the video and photos below!

The new endlinks and rear adjuster extenders are a nice touch, were they included with the kit, or add ons?

Nice video man. Saw you going to the same shop Spencer is now, then funny enough he pops up.
One thing I noticed in your center support bearing video is your valve cover gaskets are starting to peel. They also do on the underside and can flake internally. You can usually see pieces in your oil and filter. I have the same issue and am replacing mine soon. Something that may be worth looking into. |

Yeah I've been going to Euromotive for a couple months now. The guys there are great. Quality service all around. Will go there forever. And yeah unfortunately. One of the things I'm gonna get done soon. Probably paint them black when I do the gaskets. My big issue is my oil filler cap leaking Im need to shave the neck of the valve cover so it sits properly.

@954mm, Really good review bro, I think I’m gonna try a set as well. Did you do the swift spring upgrade or did you just keep them normal. Also have you done any spirited driving since you’ve had the bc’s installed ?

So I was on 5 clicks out of 30 from the time I got the coilovers installed. I set them up to 15 a week ago and wow. What a difference. It's so good in the corners. Took an off ramp at 65 confidently (with rear tires on their way out). They were too harsh at 15 when I first got them put on so I turned it down. But now I guess since they're broken in, it's muchhhh better. I was gonna do the swift upgrade but now I dont feel the need to!

Looks great! Your experience echoes mine and countless others who've used a properly setup BC coilover suspension. Did you get the extreme low version?
BMW M owner pride/ego is the only reason people look down on BC's for this platform while it remains one of the best driving street based coilovers out there. When you factor in camber plate cost that others do not include, you're getting an almost identical performing product for half the price in some scenarios. Also, KW is one of the single most overrated brands ever on these cars. 12 years into the E9X game and I still don't get the hype/$ for a routinely underwhelming product that also suffers from poor longevity.

i've been trying to figure out which BC racing coilovers will allow me to get to 10-15mm lower than stock. the product descriptions specify that the coilovers give a "minimum 2 inch drop"
which is lower than i'd like to go. any ideas on if they make a version that has a smaller minimum drop? |

I can see if all you do is "get low" and cruise on the street, it can work for you. Otherwise they overheat and get destroyed on track.

I've been running KWs for 10 years on my e90 M3 for track duty and daily commuting and it's been wonderful. I've been tracking and modding cars for 25 years and never had a worse experience than BC. Maybe the one time I ran K Sports.. but that's a different story.
Those years with the BC really made me appreciate build quality and longevity. Between the clunking from terrible pillowball bearings, shocks that wear out with each season and collars that come loose on its own, it's something I do not miss at all. With KW I've actually saved a lot of money not needing replacements all the time.

Very nice video! I was on the fence about getting a set but you convinced me!!
Are you running a 12-10 spacer setup? I want to copy your look exactly! Any tips on where you set the height?

I currently run BC coils on my x5 4.8is and SC300 5spd and love them for
1 - Cost factor 2 - ease of rebuild 3 - and well, non of my cars see track/strip time BC's will be added to the M3 once all set and done. However, I do want to keep my EDC function, well, mainly because its a nice feature to have at a push of a button. |

Chiming in here since you seem stubborn to defend this company. Ive run their BRs and the first set they sent DIDNT fit. Second set they set had to be modified to fit.
The dampers are built over seas and they aren't even built to match. These are all mass produced, randomly assorted dampers with no dyne testing or anything. Theres a reason they are $1000 KW sucks too so don't worry I agree with you there

What didn't fit? The rear mounts? There are differences between EDC and non-EDC mounts, you may just need the right mounts.
