New AGM battery without vent??

So I got a new AGM H5 die hard battery to replace my failing OEM BMW branded H8 AGM battery. The old bmw battery had a vent tube hooked up to it but the new die hard has no such fitting on the outside to hook the vent too. Doing some research it seems AGMs do not require ventilation but have a vent port in case they build up pressure and will relieve hydrogen gas. It seems this is of no concern with batteries under the hood due to the open environment but could be a problem for batteries in a closed environment such as a trunk because hydrogen gas is explosive. Is this of any concern or is it not a big deal? I can still return the battery and get something else if it definitely needs to be hooked up to the vent tube for safety.

Thanks!
