I was seriously tempted to buy the RT-660 on TireRack but I ended up with these tried and true RS4s.

The RS4 is an endurance champ and almost impossible to heat-cycle-out. The 660 is stickier.

Unexpected half foot of snow fall and the car is hibernating until the spring. That means I get to unnecessarily spend money on the car, so far starting with 2 bottles of Castrol SRF, brake vacuum pressure sensor, and diff fluid.
The do88 DCT cooler is installed and now I'm keeping an eye out for the do88 engine oil cooler and radiator. Maybe the Black Friday deals will be good this year. |

I doubt you will do it too since you are on the AR-1 life right now

Anyone watching the F1 race at Portimao? Really interesting track, tons of off-camber high speed turns right at the top of inclines, seems challenging.
My inner conspiracy theorist is making me think Ferrari is sandbagging Vettel a bit with LeClerk qualifying so much better than him. Just glad that Verstappen is keeping this sport interesting. |

Ah ok - tell him to hurry up and get some more time on them

Think with Vettel it is a combo of him not pushing quite as hard as normal with nothing really to gain right now, Leclerc being faster then him anyways, and yes Ferrari not giving him quite all they are giving Leclerc. Would not benefit Ferrari at all at this point to have Vettel beating their future. Also think Racing Point is making a mistake going with Vettel over Perez. Only reason I can think of them doing that is to try to boost juniors confidence by beating his former world champ temmate - even if he is uncompetitive at this point

The sport is just a mess right now, it seems. They keep talking about "road relevance", when the V6 is about the most irrelevant engine around. V8 would not only sound better, but it would also help development of the I4 which seems to be the future of the ICE, especially with the new C63s becoming a hybrid I4. Many companies like Merc are abandoning the V6 in favor of the I6 for its simplicity. Ferrari, while they have the only right of veto, could easily get behind this too. Honda leaving RBR without a new engine, Vettel at Racing Point, Sainz with a good season unfortunately going to Ferrari, Haas with a new lineup, etc. I could go on. At the very least, the midfield is the most competitive it's ever been in this era. |

In a bit of a jam here. Just recently installed a mporium undertray but it seems that my GT4 style lip with brake ducts will get in the way. TBH I probably don't need ducts but I did install backing plates that can use them. I am thinking just to cut the ducts on the lip for now and figure out something later.
Thoughts? |

Portimao was pretty boring other than the first few laps. I was really hoping we'd have lots of overtakes and people in the gravel due to the crazy elevation change and slick surface, but everyone kept it together.
