Anyone from the first batch that went out in July have any feedback yet (besides Matt @ OG)? Hopefully getting mine in a week or two and can't wait.

I've had mine in for about a month now. I only ordered the plenum so the current setup is the Eventuri plenum with stock elbow and BMC drop in filter. For reference my exhaust setup is a Remus sport muffler with a Fabspeed x pipe dual resonated and no secondary cats (primary ones still on). Fit and finish is top notch on the plenum. I was expecting the induction to be louder with the windows down but it is about 20% more from what I can tell. The real difference is when the windows are up where I noticed at least a 70-80% increase especially from 6k and up. Overall very satisfied and also curious if the Eventuri intake would add more to the sound.

I've had mine on for about 2 weeks or so. I have the full Eventuri setup, along with the stock x pipe and MPE. Definitely a noticeably louder, more visceral intake sound under load and at higher RPMs. I'm loving it! Sorry, no sound clips from me.

Mine is getting installed this weekend along a pair of mpowermotorsports throttle body actuators..preventive maint while it's all apart anyways.. keeping my Dinan elbow.. Hoping the sound lives up to all the hype it's getting.
I'm thinking of buying a whole eventuri intake just to get that little lower carbon intake piece..can't get myself to spend the $1000 right now just for that little piece however. --mike |

How does this compare to the Karbonius manifold?

I’m pretty sure there a a lot of happy Dinan stroker customers. I also appreciate the fact that Steve still offers a nice range of options. Finally, I prefer to purchase from a company that has years of experience and research with these cars, and from a company that is willing and present to provide the support for their product.

Received the intake yesterday and after about 3 hours of unwrapping the thing (IND has serious ocd about packaging- I love it) I got it installed and went for a brief drive. Firstly, the quality is fantastic. The weave of the carbon, the fittings, the fitment, all brilliant. The engine bay looks amazing now.
Driving impressions... the increase in induction noise is noticeable. I was hoping for more but I also think that my expectations were unrealistic. The noise sounds a bit deeper and rougher than the videos suggested, less of a sharp, piercing induction noise and more of a grumbly noise if that makes sense. As someone pointed out above, it does sound more pronounced with the windows closed vs open. All in all I am pretty pleased with the purchase and I’m looking forward to putting more miles on it. For reference I have a Borla catback and gutted secondaries on the stock x-pipe so I have some exhaust noise also competing for sound bandwidth. |
