Calling Out Shops or References
I'm in KC looking for a reputable shop within 5 hours or so drive - the closer the better. If you are a shop and have done the rod bearings/bolts before please PM me, or if you are a member and can point me to a proven shop, please do so. I would greatly appreciate it.
I have a Euro shop I take my other German metal to, but they have yet to see a S65 for bearings. About to take possession of a new to me car and mine would be their first. Not sure this would be a good idea to be their guinea pig. Any pointers appreciated! Trying to get this done so I can go get the car but if I cannot find anyone local, I'm going to have to go with a reputable shop in NY local to the car and that is creating some timing and logistics issues, thus my call for help here. Thanks in advance. |

Considering his experience, the valuable advice given on this forum, and from my personal interactions with him, deansbimmer and MporiumBMW is worth the extra miles.

Thanks for the responses - been talking to Bimmers R US in STL and they are doing one on the rack as I type. They already spec'd out the BE/ARP bearing/bolts and suggested mounts, etc., etc. Texas will be my next stop if I uncover a reason I do not want to go forward with them.
