If you can't afford BBK that's ok but for the love all things not rice please don't paint your OEM ones! Just leave them black. Why draw attention to a baby caliper?

Super old thread but had to bring it back...anyone know which wheels are these? All carbon fiber? WoW. I found the 360forged website but did not see it. Sexy!

You could always get them powder coated so it looks uniform and glossy all the way. I painted mine with a G2 kit off of Amazon. They came out really nice and the the paint you brush on without any marks. I put emblems on as well and I think they look sharp, but to each their own.

I think it looks tacky, and you're not fooling anyone that an E92 M3 has legit carbon fiber wheels (short of it being some sort of show car).

I imagine this is as good as it gets. Just seems like Id be trying to make them look like something they are not. I wrapped my trim CF and it looks great but Id replace with OEM leather CF if the opportunity presented itself. That said, do what makes you feel good.

I've been planning on repainting mine satin black because they're faded badly. I don't think I'd repaint them other then some type of black. Might be the lighting or the picture quality but those red calipers don't look so great. I would love to see them on the car though to give a proper opinion.

I painted my calipers gloss black and put a heat resistant M sticker on them. The calipers kind of disappear against my black wheels, which is what I was trying to achieve with the stock calipers. Against all that black, the M sticker really "pops".

I've been thinking about this mod for a while too, but I think I'd rather save whatever money I'd spend at a paint shop for an actual BBK in the future.
Also, for people looking for the look of a BBK at a better price (without necessarily having added performance) I remember a thread about this company that would take brembo brakes off of (I think) a porsche model, and they made brackets to fit them onto E92s. The idea was it was a kit that allowed you to actually run stock 18s and clear the kit. If anyone remembers the name of the thread or company, please link or mention it. It may be a big help to people on this thread. Other than that, just do what makes you happy. It's your car, after all. |

take the wheels off and give the wheel wells and calipers a proper cleaning. It will do wonders for their appearance.

off of eBay - can't remember who the seller was, but there were several sellers with heat resistant stickers at the time.

Haters gonna hate and I get both sides. I don't track my car and don't want to spend 5k on brakes for just the look. I wanted them to pop so went Viper yellow and a Sticker. I also had them ceramic coated so power washing them cleans the brake dust easily. I don't know I really like them myself. cost 200 bucks.. would I prefer Brembos or Stoptech 100% but this to me looks great. Fak it I can change anytime to Black ...
